Yesterday I did 2 hands-on lab session at VMworld that were very good and I would suggest to try to get into these labs. When you haven’t registered there is still a good chance to get in, at least from what I have seen today. There were a lot of people waiting to get in, but I think most of the people that did not register for the lab still could get in. Read the rest of this entry »

Today Paul Maritz (VMware) in his keynote has used the name vSphere for the first time in public and told that the name will be official. Just to be clear : this name is not just VI4 or whatever you would call it but it’s the name for the next-gen products.

Besides that 2 new products were officially announced, details will follow later:

- vCenter Server Heartbeat (probably NeverFail technique)
- VMware vShield Zones
