VMware responds to benchmark VirtualizationReview.com: “bad benchmarking”
Yesterday VMware responded to the hypervisor benchmark that virtualizationreview.com published a week ago.
The overall conclusion is that VMware calls it bad benchmarking, and their reason sounds plausible.
VMware even states that they were planning on dropping the benchmarking clause in the EULA but thanks to benchmarkings like the one from virtualizationreview.com this won’t be done.

The red line through all sessions will be “Cloud Computing” and a lot of interesting peolple including Mark Templeton and Tom Flink will share their thoughts. We will try to attend as many cool sessions as we can and keep you up-to-date with the latest developments. The (somewhat complex) catalog of the sessions is available online NOW! Hope to meet you there…

More free chapters of VMware VI3: Advanced Technical Design Guide
Scott Herold just released chapter 4 from both books from the Advanced Technical Design Guide. He plans to post 2 chapters every 2 :weeks and at the end post the books as pdf for free:
Once we have all free chapters released, we’ll bundle the whole thing up in one nice PDF package so people can actually travel with all the info they will ever need on VI3.
It’s really nice that this book will be available for free, but by the time it is, we probably are all into the public release of vSphere 4!
