Yesterday I went to the very last session of VMworld, it was an hands on lab with ESX 4.0 Beta. The labs guys were very strict on no taking photographs and the disclaimer that everything is still under development and could change as it is being developed. Today I was at the “ThinApp - going deep on capturing applications” session. I expected a real technical session about how to tweak a captured application and maybe some best practices. vCenter Orchestrator is part of the management vServices. This will be available (suprise suprise) next year.

Last week I’ve been testing with the new version of XenApp (Formerly known as Presentation Server). First thing that different from the Technical Preview was the ease of installation on a Windows Server 2008. All components (except for Sun Java) install automatically. Next thing that’s a big difference is the occurance of the Web Interface, Black, very Black and very good looking.
